Recycle your fleece clothing and fabric scraps Got a fleece that's so full of holes not even Salvation Army or Goodwill would want it? Drop it off at Patagonia stores or mail them to them. They'll recycle it back into new fleece! Patagonia will recycle any of their own brand of fleece, Polartec fleece from other manufacturers, capilene baselayers, and Patagonia cotton t-shirts. The fleeces are melted down to make new polyesters used in new products, no new oil added. The cotton shirts are shredded down to fiber and respun to make new fabric. Patagonia would really prefer items be mailed directly to their processing center rather than dropped off, since they'll just be mailing them there eventually anyway.
